How to spoil a pregnant woman

Being pregnant is such a special time in a woman's life. It is such an amazing feeling when you can feel your little one move around inside. The feeling of your body creating another human being. But it takes a lot of love to carry around that big belly! All the while you feel like an emotional ball of hormones, laughing so hard one minute and crying the next from something like a TV commercial. Even though your body is doing something so incredible, lets be honest, it's not always fun to feel like a beached whale! Extra TLC is definitely needed for these 9 months. And there are a lot of ways to show that much needed love to your spouse.

Spoil her feet! Monthly or if it's in the budget bi-weekly pedicures. It would be even more sentimental if you offer to give her a pedicure yourself, with an extra long foot rub.

Tell her how beautiful she looks every day, how she is glowing, and how much you appreciate her carrying your child inside her.

Make her feel sexy!

Always get her what she is craving! She deserves it! And don't be hard on her for wanting to eat an entire box of Entamens, her body is working hard!

Always remind her to relax, and ask her if she can use your help for anything. Tell her to put her feet up while you take care of the dishes.

Surprise her by bringing home flowers, take out, and a funny movie.

Always be there for her to vent to and never tell her that she is complaining. It's hard work creating another life inside of you.

Show her you care by coming home with a belly cast and do it together! You can buy these at babies r us or maternity stores.

Treat her to a pregnancy photo shoot.

Carry her purse, and open the car door for her.

Always make sure you are doing everything you can to see her smile, and make her laugh.

7 MUST HAVES to help you through the first 6 weeks with your newborn!

I don't want to brag, but my son was sleeping through the night at 6 weeks old! He has the best personality, and the sweetest little laugh. And I'm being honest when I tell you being a new mom is as easy as 1-2-3 for me. It is so rewarding and there is nothing I love more then being a stay at home mommy. I've heard people tell stories about how they can't take a shower in peace, they need to get out, they can't wait to get back to work... well none of that was true for me! These are the products that I think every mom should have to help make the infant phase smooth sailing!

Cloud B Twilight Turtle
This is by far one of the most useful items I came across and one of the reasons I swear by for how I got my son to sleep through the night by 6 weeks! Cloud B Twilight Turtle is a night light that lights up the ceiling, and also plays soothing music or sounds. The main reason I am so in love with this night light is because when your little one wakes up in the night for feedings all you have to do is turn on twilight turtle! If you turn on the light to the nursery your infants eyes will get adjusted to the light and make it harder for them to fall back asleep. But with this night light it makes the room light up enough to where you can see your baby, but the room still remains dark. It also is a great way to put your baby down while he is tired but not yet asleep. Your infant will not mind being alone in the nursery with the ceiling lit up to distract them from you not being in the room.

Bouncer
Every new mom needs a bouncer for the convenience of being able to move your little one around the house with you from room to room. I am in love with the Fisher Price My Little Lamb Deluxe Bouncer! We live in an apartment so having my baby next to me at all times is not that hard. However, this came in handy for me when I wanted to shower. I love this model because it vibrates baby and plays soothing music so baby is preoccupied right at the door to the bathroom while you shower in peace!

Swing
A swing is a must have for a newborn!! There will be times when your baby is crying because he or she is tired but doesn't want to be put down. The swing is perfect because it will rock your baby to sleep. I got the Fisher Price My Little Snugabunny Cradle Swing. What I loved about this model is the soothing music it plays. It also allows you to change the baby from swaying from side to side or swinging head to toe. My son also really enjoys looking at his reflection at the top of the swing. That is actually what made him have his first smile!!!

Click Connect Car Seat

I definitely recommend getting a click connect car seat. This allows you to move your sleeping baby from the car seat to the stroller to bring them into the store without waking them. You can also just click out the carrier to bring your baby inside without waking them! For first time moms who don't know, the car ride definitely puts baby to sleep so being able to take them out of the car without waking them is a must.

Carrier
Every mommy needs a carrier! This comes in handy when your baby doesn't want to be put down but you need to finish your cooking and cleaning!

Pack and Play
The pack and play doesn't only come in handy for taking your baby to a family or friends house, it also serves a great purpose in your house as well! It is a nice confined space your baby can rest of play in. I recommend getting one that vibrates since this will help your child not mind laying in it alone when they are getting use to it.

And last but certainly not least...

Pacifier!!!
Of course every mommy knows their little ones will need pacifiers, I just wanted to add some helpful tips when buying and also when getting your baby to suck on the pacifier. I recommend looking for pacifiers that are BPA free and say "orthodontic" on the packaging.
Also, for first time mommy's, don't get discouraged if your infant will not take the pacifier from you, they simply just don't know what it is immediately. Gently hold the pacifier to your baby's mouth even if they don't suck or they spit it out right away, eventually they will realize it's for sucking!
